A village, going through a tough phase with no rains, water running out, the sunlight has become toxic since the ozone is depleted. The villagers obviously not knowing about the same learn, when a few folks get their skins burnt, the crop grown is inedible and the animals (day grazers) dead therefore their food can run out any moment. The villagers come out only during the night, they feel that the gods are angry at them and to find a solution they have a clash of beliefs. A few feel that they should keep their head down and keep praying, keep farming and perhaps the gods show mercy and everything becomes normal. This group also feels that they are the ones who are good and doing things the right way The other clan completely disagreeing with the first is looking for a murti that according to the beliefs have a devil trapped in it, they feel if the gods can’t the devil can surely help them. Both clans have separated their living spaces and made a border with traps around and failing at the methods they were going about, the food has run out, people dying, both clans feeling that the other has gotten it better and as the story progresses each group falls prey to their decisions, fall even further in the trap and the whole idea of who is good and who is evil, the idea of antagonist and protagonist fades away.
